Kent A. Kramer

President and Chief Executive Officer

Kent A. Kramer is President and CEO of Indianapolis based Goodwill Legacy Group, a multi-regional nonprofit network advancing lasting solutions in employment, education, housing, health, and community stability. He joined the organization in 2002 and was named President and CEO in 2015. Today, he leads a team of more than 6,100 employees, two-thirds of which have significant employment barriers. Under his leadership, over 5,000 students are educated across 19 schools and more than 4,000 low-income families receive direct services.

In 2024, the organization was granted territorial rights from Goodwill Industries International to bring Goodwill to the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. Kent and his team are strategically opening multiple retail stores and introducing additional mission programs on the island, expanding impact through a model intentionally designed for scale, sustainability, and adaptability.

In 2025, Kramer guided strategic mergers with Goodwill Industries of Central Illinois, expanding mission impact across central Illinois and Indiana, and with Horizon House, strengthening resources and services for people experiencing homelessness.

A proud Indiana State University and Anderson University MBA alum, Kent serves on multiple boards including the Indiana State Chamber, Indiana State University Foundation and the Indiana Commission for Higher Education. He is an active member of the Rotary Club of Indianapolis and the Indianapolis Chamber of Commerce. Kramer resides in Pendleton, Indiana with his wife, Jamei; they have four adult children and are active in their faith community.

Eric Schlegel

Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer

Schlegel joined Goodwill in 2009 and serves as Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. He previously served as Vice President of Operations. Eric is responsible for more than 110 locations and over 5,000 employees in Indiana, Puerto Rico, and Illinois.

Prior to Goodwill, he spent several years at Eli Lilly and Company and, more recently, at Mercury Marine where he held several roles, including General Manager of Aftermarket Business. Schlegel holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Michigan State University and an MBA from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan. Eric is also a 2023 graduate of Goodwill Industries International Executive Development program.

Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Michelle, and their three boys, Owen, Oliver and Spencer.

Matt Fortney

Senior Vice President of Administration and Chief Financial Officer

Matt Fortney joined Goodwill of Central and Southern Indiana in 2023. As Senior Vice President of Administration and Chief Financial Officer, Matt works directly with Goodwill’s support departments, which collectively work with every facet of the organization every day. He is also responsible for Goodwill’s accounting, payroll, treasury, and risk management strategy.

Matt earned his accounting degree from Indiana University Fort Wayne in 1999 and is a Certified Public Accountant. He has served on and chaired several Boards, including Greater Fort Wayne, Inc., Financial Executives International, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and Fort Wayne Business Forum to name a few. When Matt is not working, he and his wife, Linda, enjoy being outside, sightseeing, and spending time with their three adult children.

Betsy Delgado

Senior Vice President and Chief Mission and Education Officer

Betsy Delgado serves as Chief Mission and Education Officer at Goodwill Legacy Group, where she leads initiatives focused on systemic change in education, health, employment,and housing. She and her team center their work around the belief that working shoulder to shoulder with individuals and families enrolled in holistic, evidence-based models like The Excel Center and Nurse-family Partnership can dismantle generational poverty and impact local communities.

Delgado previously served as the Vice President of Mission and Education Initiatives as well as Executive Director of The Excel Center, Goodwill’s high school for adults, from 2011 to 2013.

She has her MBA from the University of Notre Dame and a bachelor’s degree in English and education from the University of North Dakota. In 2015, Delgado was named an Ascend Fellow at the Aspen Institute, an educational and policy studies organization based in Washington, D.C. As an Ascend Fellow, she works with leaders across the nation to develop a two-generation approach to build economic security, educational success, health and well-being for low-income families. In 2023, she was named as a fellow at the Pahara Institute where she focuses on improving education policy.

Outside of work, Delgado enjoys traveling, walking with her dogs, yoga and reading.

Rachel Cline Eble

Senior Vice President and Chief Philanthropy Officer

Rachel joined the Goodwill Foundation in 2018, bringing with her over 15 years of experience working in fundraising, marketing and communications. At the Goodwill Foundation, Rachel focuses her time on managing our Foundation team’s overall fundraising strategy and working with major donors, focused primarily on connecting them with Goodwill’s mission.

She is a proud graduate of The Orchard School, Brebeuf Jesuit and the University of Colorado, Boulder. Prior to joining Goodwill, Rachel was an Associate Director of the Central Indiana Land Trust. Rachel serves on the Board of Directors of the Holliday Park Foundation, Rotary Club of Indianapolis, and the Indianapolis Film Project (KanKan Cinema).

Rachel loves working with donors to connect them with a change they want to see in their community. Outside of work, Rachel and her husband have two sons, whose sticky hands are instrumental in inspiring her to be less of a perfectionist every day. Rachel loves to cook and garden, with results that are not always as impressive as her fundraising work.

Jay C. Lytle

Vice President and Chief Information Officer

Jay C. Lytle joined Goodwill of Central & Southern Indiana as Chief Information Officer (CIO) in January 2016. In his role, Lytle oversees Goodwill’s Technology Services team, which is responsible for monitoring and innovating IT needs for more than 80 locations across central Indiana, including retail stores, Indianapolis Metropolitan High School, 11 Excel Center locations, the corporate office and commercial services.

A two-time graduate of Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business, Lytle earned his bachelor’s degree in computer information systems and a Master of Business Administration.

Lytle currently resides in Fishers, Indiana, with his wife, Nedra, and their two children. In his spare time, he enjoys fishing, canoeing and coaching his children in youth sports.

Lisa Allen, MBA, CCP, CEBS

Vice President, Human Resources

Lisa Allen joined Goodwill in 2010. In her current role, she oversees the strategic direction of the organization’s human resources department and leads our talented team of HR professionals as we look to continually build a best in class organization that is people focused.

Allen brings a wealth of experience, knowledge and accomplishments to this position given her history with Goodwill. She was responsible for creating and executing a wellness strategy that directly enhanced primary care for employees and improved health trends among program participants. She also led the development of a corporate COVID relief plan to help successfully navigate the organization through a difficult economic period. Prior to joining Goodwill, Allen was a benefits consultant with Mavum Consulting.

Allen received a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from the Kelley School of Business while attending Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis. She also attended Purdue University where she earned a Masters of Business Administration. She is the parent of three daughters and currently resides in Fishers.

Ivan Cropper

Vice President, Marketing & Communications

​Ivan Cropper joined Goodwill of Central & Southern Indiana in 2020 as the Vice President of Marketing and Communications. He brings over 25 years of experience in advertising, marketing and communications to this role, along with a diverse set of skills and accomplishments. Ivan works across the organization to align resources to help build an inclusive Goodwill where everyone feels a sense of belonging.

Before joining Goodwill, he managed the INDYCAR brand, where he implemented consumer engagement strategies that drove significant revenue growth and expanded both television viewership and brand awareness. His background also includes leading USA Track & Field’s inaugural branding campaign, which generated incremental revenue through new proprietary marketing partnerships. Additionally, he is credited with modernizing and digitizing the communications department during his tenure at USATF.

Cropper attended Southern Connecticut State University where he received a Bachelor of Arts in communications and played football. Outside of work he lives in Indianapolis with his wife and two daughters, enjoys playing golf and donating his time in support of local nonprofits.

Josh Cooper

Vice President - Finance

Josh Cooper serves as Vice President of Finance, bringing more than 20 years of experience within the organization. He began his Goodwill career in 2005 as a donation attendant and steadily advanced through the retail division, serving in multiple leadership roles before becoming a site leader.

In 2017, Josh transitioned into the accounting department as a Financial Analyst, where he quickly distinguished himself through his strategic insight and operational understanding of the organization. He went on to serve as Director of Financial Planning & Analysis and later as Corporate Controller before being promoted to Vice President of Finance. His broad operational background combined with financial expertise provides a unique perspective that supports Goodwill’s long-term sustainability and mission impact.

Josh holds a Bachelor of Science in Sports Management from Indiana University and a Master of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Indianapolis. He is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).

Outside of work, Josh enjoys spending time with family and friends, staying active, and supporting his community.

Shelley Ashley

Vice President, Mission Initiatives

As Vice President of Mission Initiatives, Shelley Ashley ensures that Goodwill Legacy Group continues to deliver mission programs that help our most vulnerable neighbors reach their independence. She oversees the strategic direction and execution of Goodwill’s Nurse-Family Partnership, SCSEP, TalentSource, Goodwill Horizon House and more.

Shelley Ashley came to the organization l in 2010 as a College Transition Counselor at The Excel Center. She continued to grow professionally, becoming the Director of The Excel Center - Decatur in 2015. Later in the year in 2015 Shelley was named the Senior Director for Goodwill Works and in 2021 achieved the title and responsibilities of Vice President of Mission Initiatives.

Shelley has a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Spring Arbor University in Spring Arbor, Michigan. Outside of work Shelley and her husband love spending time with family and friends on their boat, taking walks, traveling, and are expecting the birth of their first grandchild this summer.

Brodie Sears

Vice President, Retail, Facilities and Real Estate

Brodie Sears joined Goodwill Legacy Group in 2016 and serves as Vice President of Retail, Facilities and Real Estate. In his role, he oversees the strategic direction and execution of 92 retail locations in Indiana, Puerto Rico and Illinois along with the Facilities and Real estate team.

Prior to Goodwill, Brodie worked in nonprofit management, commercial construction and youth ministry.

Brodie graduated from Taylor University. He has certifications in construction management, insurance, HR, Six Sigma, and real estate.

Outside of work, Brodie is married with two boys and enjoys spending time outdoors and traveling.

Shawn Lange

Vice President, Contract Manufacturing

Shawn Lange holds the position of Vice President of Contract Manufacturing at Goodwill Commercial Services, which serves as the contract manufacturing division of Goodwill Legacy Group.

In 2020, Shawn assumed the role of Senior Director of Outlets, Transportation, and Facilities. Before his tenure at Goodwill, he held the position of Operations Manager at Falk Gearbox in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. With over 25 years of expertise in manufacturing, Shawn has consistently applied Six Sigma and lean philosophies throughout his career.

Shawn attained his bachelor of science in management from Indiana Wesleyan University and furthered his education with a master of science in management and leadership from Purdue Global University.

A U.S. Army veteran Shawn, met his wife Shelley, who also shares his veteran status. Together they enjoy spending time with their grandkids, traveling, and spending time visiting national parks.

Katie Bustamante

Vice President, Goodwill Education Initiatives

Katie Bustamante joined Goodwill of Central & Southern Indiana in 2013 as a College and Career Readiness Specialist and has been a passionate advocate for The Excel Center® ever since. Over the past decade, she has advanced through several leadership roles including School Director and Senior Service Director at the Excel Center National Office, demonstrating an unwavering commitment to students, colleagues and Goodwill’s mission.

Now serving as Vice President of Goodwill Education Initiatives (GEI) and The Excel Center National Office, Bustamante works to strengthen connections among schools and align programs with GEI’s strategic goals.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and American Studies from Miami University, a Master of Arts in Teaching from Marian University and a Master of Science in Educational Administration from Butler University.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters, staying active outdoors and cheering for the Cincinnati Bengals.
